Site Directed Mutagenesis
Site-directed mutagenesis is a powerful research tool used to study the protein function, identify enzyme activities and design novel proteins/mutants. Each mutagenesis service at Syngene is customized to meet specific requirements. Mutagenesis may be carried out using PCR or Dpn I enzyme based methods.
Types of mutations: Point Mutation, Insertion, Deletion or Replacement
Genome Walking
Genome walking is a technique to move from the “known into the unknown” and explore the genome of an organism.
We have expertise in carrying out genome walking by conventional (Bacterial/Phage Library screening) and PCR methods.
Applications:
- Promoter identification
- Intron/Exon junction mapping
- Mutational screening programs
- Bi-directional Genome Walking from known EST / STS
- Gap Filling in sequenced genome maps
