Corporate Social Responsibility

Syngene’s CSR initiatives are reviewed and refreshed regularly and implemented based on the needs of the local communities and the unique knowledge and capabilities at Syngene. Syngene undertakes community-based Healthcare, Environmental Sustainability, Research and Scholarships, and Science Education programs in collaboration with approved institutions, directly or through implementing agencies.

Syngene can partner with external agencies (Implementing Agencies) to undertake or execute CSR activities directly. Implementing agencies must satisfy all requirements of the CSR policy. The implementing agencies through which CSR activities may be implemented are:

1. The Biocon Foundation directly execute projects or partners with community-based organizations through a memorandum of understanding to fulfil the CSR obligations.
2. The Biocon Academy aims to address the skill deficit in the Biopharma sector by developing high-end talent through advanced learning.
3. Other external agencies: CSR activities can be undertaken through any other implementing agencies that satisfy the statutory requirements as specified in the CSR policy.
