Syngene is committed to making a positive impact through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. The company believes in giving back to society and has taken various steps to promote education and healthcare in underprivileged communities. Syngene’s CSR programs aim to support women, children, and communities in need, fostering a sustainable and inclusive society.
One of Syngene’s major CSR initiatives is the scholarship and mentoring program for women in partnership with the Biocon Foundation. The program seeks to empower women from low-income backgrounds to pursue Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education and build successful careers. Syngene has also partnered with Research & Innovation Circle of Hyderabad (RICH) to expand the program’s reach to women from smaller cities, providing them with the necessary skills and resources to succeed in the workforce.
Syngene also supports government schools in Bangalore and the Chikkaballapur region by sponsoring mobile science labs. This initiative aims to promote science education and equip students with practical knowledge. Additionally, the company sponsors E-Laj clinics in remote areas of Karnataka to provide underserved communities access to healthcare and technology.
Syngene’s CSR efforts are a testament to the company’s commitment to promoting social welfare and sustainability. Through its various initiatives, Syngene empowers individuals and communities, fosters positive change, and makes a difference in the world.

Our intervention has extended micronutrient supplements, including iron and folic acid tablets to reproductive age and pregnant women in line with the GAP. It promotes age-appropriate infant and young child feeding and care practices and sensitizes adolescent girls to nutrition and reproductive health.
It was not just our healthcare programs that persisted through lockdowns. In a bid to support the government infrastructure, Syngene committed a significant part of its CSR contribution towards setting up an ICMR-approved lab that would conduct RT-PCR tests for the Government of Karnataka. Approximately 3,57,000 RT-PCR tests have been completed for the Government of Karnataka. (This figure includes employees and their families tested)
