Community Outreach

Women’s Safety

Through Biocon Foundation, Syngene supports Parihar, an initiative of the Bengaluru City Police that provides counseling, legal guidance, medical support, shelter access, and community awareness programs for women, children, and families in crisis.  

During FY26: 

  • 5,202 total cases were registered 
  • 5,052 women-related cases were supported 
  • 150 child-related cases were supported 
  • 4,811 cases (92.5%) were successfully reconciled, settled, or closed 

Employee Volunteering

Employee volunteering extends the impact of Syngene’s CSR programs by bringing employee expertise, skills, and energy to community initiatives.  

During FY26, employees contributed through: 

  • World No Tobacco Day awareness sessions and quizzes in government schools 
  • World Environment Day Eco-Club activities promoting environmental responsibility 
  • Synquizitive, involving more than 400 employee volunteers across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Mangaluru 
  • Mangrove restoration activities along the Netravati River in Mangaluru 
  • More than 85 hours of guest lectures and technical training delivered through Biocon Academy
