Evaluating the efficacy and safety of drugs through metabolic assays
Syngene is well-versed in conducting in vitro metabolic assays that help calculate the efficacy, dosage rate, and safety profile of a drug candidate through cytochrome P450 and non-P450 metabolic pathways. Our integrated and tiered approach uses liver microsomes, S9 fractions, and hepatocytes, in suspension and plated, to obtain accurate information on in vivo clearance mechanisms.
Through metabolic stability assays, we measure the in vitro clearance of compounds in liver microsomes and hepatocytes across different species. Our stability assays cover a diverse set of compounds, including low, moderate, and high-clearance compounds.
Our range of metabolic assays include:
- Liver microsomes
- Hepatocytes
- S9 fractions
- Cytosol
- Enterocytes in both dogs and humans
