Physicochemical Assays

Profiling compounds for improved physicochemical characteristics

Syngene’s comprehensive suite of assays help clients accurately profile a compound’s physicochemical properties and improve its key characteristics. We assay compounds for lipophilicity values such as solubility, plasma protein binding, permeability, and absorption, as well as properties such as the stability and reactivity of a drug.

Our physicochemical assays, that adhere to a rapid turnaround time of five days, are validated with different marketed compounds enabling us to offer high quality and reproducible data to build a structure-activity relationship (SAR) analysis.

Syngene’s range of physicochemical assays include:

  • Log D (distribution co-efficient)
  • Log P (partition co-efficient)
  • Kinetic solubility
  • Thermodynamic solubility
  • pH-dependent solubility
  • Solubility in biorelevant medium: Fasted state simulated gastric fluid (FaSSGF), fasted state simulated intestinal fluid (FaSSIF), fed state simulated intestinal fluid (FeSSIF)
  • Chemical stability
  • Stability in biorelevant medium
  • Plasma stability
  • Whole blood stability
  • Chemical reactivity
